The Westcott 2002 Collapsible Soft Silver Umbrella provides quick and easy light softening with a slightly harder look than a white umbrella. This umbrella has a unique design that allows it to collapse into a very compact package that fits easily into a location case.
I saw that someone mentioned a new solid shaft. I can't remember if my old one was solid or hollow (I don't have access right now) but I was very disappointed that it didn't fit Profoto heads as it was slightly too thick. Does anyone know if what is currently sold will fit a Profoto head?

Paul,Not sure about the compatibility with profoto gear? But here's my experience. I have this newer umbrella. Not sure the shaft is solid? Mine is hexagonal in shape. i primarily use it with my nikon or metz strobes with pocket wizards. But i have used it on the bowens monolites and the new shaft fits nicely and locks in with the thumbscrew on the hex flats.
