This is a Westcott umbrella, but it doesn't fit my FJ400s, the rod is too thick. How can this be? What am I missing?
Umbrellas (including Westcott umbrellas) generally have shafts that are either 7mm in diameter or 8mm in diameter. You may have an 8mm shaft and your strobe only accommodates 7mm.

I saw that someone mentioned a new solid shaft. I can't remember if my old one was solid or hollow (I don't have access right now) but I was very disappointed that it didn't fit Profoto heads as it was slightly too thick. Does anyone know if what is currently sold will fit a Profoto head?
The hexagonal shaft one these do not fit Profoto mounts.
