The 12x25 Travelite Binocular from Nikon is a lightweight and compact optic with a powerful magnification to bring distant subjects up close for detailed observations, and features a fully multi-coated optical path and an ergonomic housing — making it an ideal companion for outdoor enthusiasts, sports spectators, and city sightseers alike. Complementing the travel-friendly size, are aspherical lenses that reduce the curvature that can distort the field of view and BAK4 reverse-Porro prisms that work together to present flat high-contrast images with lifelike color and consistent center-to-edge sharpness. Combined with an 13' close focus distance, this 12x25 binocular is ready for almost any mid- to long-range glassing task. Responsibly sourced and containing no lead or arsenic, Nikon's Eco-Glass is used in all the lenses and prisms, to be ecologically friendly.

12x25 Travelite Binocular is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 37.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Newest Travelite 12 x 25 is superb I am a birder and semi-pro photographer. I watch raptors which must be observed from a distance The extra magnification one gets from the 12 power Travelite VI is terrific, if you can (1) hold it steady and (2) find the target through the lens. Takes a little practice, because they are so strong.I have had four Travelite IVs (all 12 x 25) and I would not even think of going out shooting with my Canon digital without the binocs. The newest Travelite, the VI has improvements that make it worthwhile to upgrade. I dropped the others or they got wet in the wild.I am real happy with mine--no reservations

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Excellent Size and Features My work lets me use a set of 10x50 binos that are nice, but very large and must be carried separately from my other gear. I have a lot of things that I have to carry around and keep track of and so I shopped around to find a compact but powerful set to replace my work binos. I settled on these because they seemed to fit the bill and they are a bit more powerful being 12x. They are small enough that I can put them in the lower pouch of my small CamelBack and they fit in with the rest of the stuff I keep in there (which is a huge improvement over the 10x50s).I was impressed when I opened the box after getting them in the mail that they are much smaller than they looked in the photos on the website. That's a good thing. They have been pretty effective for me in actual use, but they are less clear and much more shaky than my 10x50 which was not a surprise but does reduce their effectiveness. I mostly use them at distances of 500m to 2500m. Also, their performance in twilight/heavy overcast/low light is weak compared to my old 10x50s, also not unexpected, but it decreases their effectiveness.I also had some fogging issues, but they were not severe.Overall, I'm happy with these, because I probably would have thrown the heavy old ones off of a cliff rather than continuing to lug them around. So these are superior overall. I would recommend them if you need something small, lightweight, rugged, and you're going to be in a position where you can steady your hands on something.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Only 2 lens covers Nice case but only 2 lens covers for the eye pieces. We bought this to take to Alaska with us...small compact and I've always had Nikon lens and cameras so we had confidence that it would do the job. Exactly what we expected except only 2 separate lens covers for only the eye pieces. I hate that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent glass These are great, lightweight binoculars. They weigh about as much as the camera I carry and fit easily in the camera bag. The lenses are bright, sharp and easily focused. The diopter setting is stiff enough to stay in place yet can be adjusted easily when sharing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A good buy The binoculars are as good as advertised. The 12 magnification is noticeably more powerful than the 10X that I have. I wish a set of lens caps were included for all four lenses instead of just the two but after using the binoculars for a time I may appreciate that it doesn't need four. That remains to be seen. These are not advertised for bird watchers but I've enjoyed using them for that purpose.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Exactly what I wanted I've had a Travelite III for over 20 years. It's been a champ and is still going strong. Just needed another pair and decided to go to 12x25. Wow! The extra mag is not overpowering but brings objects so much closer than the 8x or 10x of my other Nikon. Easy focus, too. Aside from that, these are great value. Sure, there are finer binox out there, but how many times does one hear, Someone broke into my car and stole my Swarovskis? If these go for a walk, I won't be out the price of a small vacation.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light, Compact, better then the 10x25 We've had a 10x25 Travelite fro years, and the 12x25 is better. It's light and compact, yet has good brightness in low light. the case fits well and seals it so cleaning the lenses isn't need even when we're out on our UTV checking the cattle. It also make reading the ear tag numbers easy.
