I didn’t expect a simple adapter to make such a noticeable difference, but the Matthews Hot Shoe Adapter 3/8” to 1/4” completely changed my setup experience. Compared to smaller, cheaper alternatives, this one is significantly more robust—larger, easier to grip, and far quicker to tighten or loosen. It’s the kind of tool you don’t realize you’ve been missing until you use it. Paying a bit more for a well-built adapter like this has made my workflow noticeably faster and far less frustrating. It’s now a small but essential part of my kit.

So I bought a Lume Cube LED light panel and I absolutely love it with one minor exception - the camera adapter. It does not provide adequate support for the panel at all, so of course I looked to B&H for options and came across this beauty. Its was a little pricey, but you get what you pay for - its rock solid and properly supports the Lume Cube on my Olympus EM5II. I'm very happy with this purchase and am considering purchasing another one to keep as a spare.
