Oben TT-200 overview

  • 1Description

The Oben TT-200 Tabletop Tripod provides a sturdy base of support for shooting from a tabletop or other raised surface – or set the TT-200 on the ground or floor to achieve stable low-angle shots. Constructed of aluminum for lightweight strength, the TT-200 could be ideal for macro or product photography with most DSLR cameras. With the included mini ball head, load capacity of the system is 6 lb.

Turning the twist lock enables you to raise the extension column of the TT-200. The height range of the tripod is 9.5 to 14.5". For storage or for tossing it in a backpack, the extension column retracts into the main center column, which in turn retracts through the chassis. With the legs folded, the retracted TT-200 measures a compact 10" long.

The tripod's mini ball head mounts most cameras, including point & shoot models, to its 1/4"-20 screw. A single lever loosens the ball so that you can smoothly adjust the tilt and pan. The ball pans 360° and a groove allows the head to tilt 90° in one direction for portrait orientation.

    Oben TT-200 reviews

TT-200 Tabletop Tripod is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 22.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Sturdy little thing. Somehow this tripod holds my rebel and 60mm macro quite well. This tripod is very light and compact and can fit in anywhere. This is great for getting on the ground. If you have a larger lens or telephoto it will fall over. Again, this is good for short, lighter lenses. I gave this 3 stars not so much for bad performance but for the price I paid it should feel a little bit better built. You will feel like you overpaid but it does gets the job done.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Remarkably sturdy little tripod On a recent visit to NYC, I purchased this table top tripod on a bit of a whim. Knowing that we would be visiting sites in the city at night, I wanted something portable and packable that would give my camera stability for 30 second exposures. While in NYC, I used the tripod several times: on a pillar on top of Rockefeller Centre, set directly on the Manhattan Bridge, on a pillar at ground level near the Brooklyn Bridge, and on the ground at the reservoir at Central Park. Overall, I was very pleased with this purchase. It held my Rebel T3i with both my 100mm prime and 18-135mm lenses without difficulty. It was a bit tricky to set the tripod up to take portrait shots, as it was difficult to tighten the ball head enough to keep it from slowly dipping down with the weight of the camera. But, as 99% of my shots were landscape, I wasn't very concerned about this. The tripod is easy to set up, and handles the weight of my camera very well. It is surprisingly sturdy for such a teeny thing, and is wonderfully lightweight (ie. not a burden to carry around all day). It literally packs down to the about size of a family-size chocolate bar, so there' almost no excuse for not having it with you. Unless you've already got a portable, packable carbon fibre tripod, you should definitely have this or one of its sibling tripods in your bag.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Strong, perfect size This is a little tank. Fits great in my gear bag, its never left at home. Very light, and amazingly strong. holds my DSLR with the 55-300 lens. I wish it could pan better, that's my only ding. other than that it's been great. I used it in moderate wind on top of 30 Rock in New York, at it did fantastic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice tripod for travel The TT-200 is your basic table top tripod, but it's very sturdy, has a nice ball head, and also has more extension that the cheaper models. (It's not a tripod to use on the ground.) It fits in my camera bag, and is very useful. The alternative is really a full size tripod.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great addition For fixed video graphing of performance troupe as a second video source in addition to a wide angle panned video. A gread rock-solid fixed tripod. Easily set up and locked in position. Good and heavy for stability. No negatives that I could find.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quality product for the price. I have only used this tripod twice after I received it. Both times it met my requirements. The first was a landscape shot and the second was a macro from above the subject. I especially like the fact that I can remove the ball mount.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple Discreet Beautiful I'll provide real value here as there's almost always something left out of the description and specs that we dearly want to know. In this case, what is the full diameter of the footprint on the desk? 9. You're welcome!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great addition to my X-T2 Despite it's size, this tripod can hold my X-T2, the power grip and the 18-135 firmly and safely. So far, I'm very satisfied and recommend it to all B&H customers.
