The Tiffen 52mm Photo Twin Pack consists of a UV Protection filter and Circular Polarizer.

UV Protection Filters
UVHaze (UV) filters are wise initial investments. They help protect your valuable investment from dust, moisture and scratches, which can lead to costly repairs. If desired they can be left on the lens at all times for protection. Haze filters provide additional benefits of correction for Ultraviolet (UV) light which can register on film and videotape as a bluish cast and can obscure distant details. Ultraviolet filters allow you to correct for the UV effect to varying degrees. Haze-1 filters absorb approximately 71 percent of UV.

Circular Polarizers
Light rays which are reflected become polarized. Polarizing filters are used to select which light rays enter your camera lens. They can remove unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water or glass and also saturate colors providing better contrast. The effect can be seen through the viewfinder and changed by rotating the filter. The filter factor varies according to how the filter is rotated and its orientation to the sun.

Note: Circular polarizers are specifically designed for use with auto-focus SLR cameras (They will also work on manual systems and video cameras without problems)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Value for Money Twin Pack with the Polarizer and the UV protection is really great. Great Value for money. Comes along with a pouch to hold both. Polarizer works great. Circular Polarizer is Not Recommend at Wide angles like 18MM since it will cause some levels of Vignetting. Works great on reflections and glasses both ways.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tiffen Filters + Nikon D3300 kit Works perfectly with the Nikon D3300 2 lens kit. Comes with a nice baggy for both filters. The clear filter always stays on my 18-55mm lens for protection. There is no change in color or sharpness with the filter on.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Cheap price, cheap quality The UV filter is pretty lousy. Dont expect to be able to take pictures with the light coming at an angle. Bad reflections due to poor or no coating, especially with my f/1.4 50mmm Nikon lens. Better make sure the sun is in your back. You get what you pay for. I regret wasting my money on this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent I use this product for my photography business. I decreases the amount of photo shopping I have to do on all of my pictures and saves me time. I also love that I can take them off or put them on when ever I want so at the end of the day I still control the type of images I want. So far I haven't found anything I dislike.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The value is in the beholder!!! I usually read all the reviews on a item before I buy it. I did not read any reviews on this item as they were sent as a gift from B&H with the purchase of a Nikkor Lense. I found that these reviews are usually one way or the other either good or bad, I have not read to many reviews that were in between. I will strive to stay in between with my review. At first I thought to myself just how good can they be, they are for free they can't be great. Well, I was right they are not great! They are servicable, the polarizing filter worked and removed glare and reflections from my pictures. The UV filter worked very well also, the UV filter works great as a protector for my lense. In the grand scheme of things we could argue the value of coated filters pro and con for a long time but this is not the place. I have used and owned a Cokin filter system since they were introduced in 1978 and it is my bread and butter so to speak. But I found these filters easy to use and for the price were very good filters.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Filter Happiness Just good basic filters at a good price. Tiffen makes a fine product. Threads were clean and provided a smooth interface with mating threads on lens. Polarizer rotates smoothly and is very effective.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Prices & GREAT Quality Filters I purchased these filters together because it was a better deal than buying the UV filter by itself & I have to say I'm so glad I did! The Circular Polarizing Filter is AWESOME ...

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cicular Polarizing Filter I bought one for each lens for quick change situations. Shooting outdoors the sun can be too bright depending on the subject. These are perfect and just twist into place.
