Replaced head on one of my tripods. Works great. It is smooth operating and holds camera and medium weight lens very steady. Would definitely recommend. And as always great service and fast shipping from B&H👍􎰀

Pano Action will not Tighten 100% PART 2 - The Fix

By Dan
Rated 3 out of 5
Date: 2023-05-01

This is a follow-up to my generous 3-star review entitled: Pano Action will not Tighten 100%. Who knows, maybe/hopefully mine was a one-off. I had my mechanically inclined brother look at it and we found that it wasn't that the azimuth tightening knob wouldn't tighten all the way. It does. What was going on is that the threaded nut or base plate inside the ball head that the 3/8 tripod bolt screws into was loose inside the housing. The only way to fix this was to disassemble and stamp the nut so that it expanded inside the sleeve to remove the extra play. I shouldn't have had to do this so I still give it 3 stars. Good ball head now but required more work to make it good. As explained before I need a ball head with zero play in all axis for the sake of stacking etc.
