The Sescom Balanced Audio Professional Grade XLR A/B Passive Switch is designed to convert and switch between 2 inputs to 1 common output. Thanks for inquiring. This switch can switch two AES/EBU signals. Since it's a passive switch, it won't be seamless switching, and there will be a dropout in the signal while switching, but it should otherwise work for you.

Does the switch pop when switching output in live PA situation?
Hi Kevin. There will in all likelihood be an audible click or pop from the switch itself when depressed. However, as a passive device, whether that noise would bleed into the signal would depend on what is connected, according to our engineers, and there is no way to really tell what noise would come through the signal beforehand. Can this be used to switch a single input (a DAC) between two outputs (headphone amp, main rig amp)?
Hi Michael: I don't see why it would be a problem since the unit is passive and has no internal electronics to contend with. You may hear a slight pop when switching between your two output sources and might have to mute or reduce the volume of the unit that you are switching to .Hope this helps.Rick
