Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Filter. This Canon UV Protector Filter is just what I wanted. I use Canon dslr's at school with tiffen protector filters and they seem to be flimsy compared to this one. However those tiffen ones cost about half the price. This filter does the job it is supposed to which is protect my lens from getting scratched. The overall quality of the filter is what has me amazed. It also doesn't mess with picture quality which is something I was just a tad bit worried about. I paid good money for my t6s and wouldn't want anything breaking on me. It is worth the money. Also got it within the week. Highly recommend it. Thank you B&H!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Filter- Sharp, Clear, Bold Colors I bought this Canon filter after trying the Tiffen version. The Canon filter is GREAT. The Tiffen one caused dark and unsharp photos but Canon is sharp and vivid. See attached photos for a sample. Same lighting, camera and conditions- just the filters were different.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2 BIG THUMBS UP!!! Will never buy another brand of UV filter!! I bought this after scratching my Tiffen filter while cleaning. The quality of Canon glass is vastly superior; the filter arrived very well packaged & CLEAN (my Tiffen filters never arrive clean or well packaged), plus my images are sharper than before. Worth every penny & as another customer has stated, if you buy quality lenses, put quality filters on them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best quality filter I use this on my Canon 100mm macro L series lens. Having spent a lot of money on the lens, it is worth to get the best protective filter available. It's crystal clear and does not change the quality of photos at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth the extra money There is a noticable difference from the non-canon filter I previously purchased. Well worth every penny.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Caused big problems with Canon 70-300mm f/4-5.6L I have this filter, and it's OK on my 100/2.8 macro. It's not perfect, but I'll take the small IQ hit if I'm shooting outdoors and worried about bumping the front element against something. But... I also tried this on my 70-300L. It completely ruins the IQ on this lens, most obviously at 300mm. The results with it on vs off are night and day, it reduced the IQ of my $ lens to that of a $ 75-300 kit quality lens, no exaggeration. There is something going on with how light bounces between the filter and coated front element that just generates crazy amounts of ghosting. If you're thinking about buying a filter for this lens, just be sure to try it out right away and A/B test against the bare lens, and be prepared to return it. The 70-300L has a nice big hood, so a filter is not as necessary to protect it (100mm macro has a big hood too, but you often need to remove it to shoot in the macro range).Unfortunately, most of my other lenses are 77mm, otherwise it'd be able to see if this problem is unique to the 70-300L, or common to other lenses with the fluorite coating.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The protection you need Reasonable price for the product that will protect your lens from dust/dirt/smears, you name it. Buy this for any lens you have in this size. If you don' risk a serious lesson in lens protection.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from High Quality Use on my L series Canon lens for protection in many damp and/or dusty situations and want to protect it. Am on my second or third filter but would rather replace the filter than scratch the lens. The filter is much higher quality than most other brands and worth the extra money, why use a cheap filter on a suburb lens and risk degrading the image.
