Does the height of this include the thickness of the convoluted foam lid or is it just the height of the divider? Thanks!
It is just the height of the divider. This is a kit for the Pelican 1520 Series Cases and fits perfectly. On other cases the fit is not guaranteed.

Does anyone use this with a laptop below? I am wanting to have my macbook below and then my camera gear on top. If you do what sort of laptop do you store below? Thanks in advance
The dividers work well for vertical separation but would be more challenging to configure for items laid flat. I've used it with an I-Pad and placed a layer of foam on top of the pad - but didn't place lenses or cameras on top because of the space limitation. It would work better in my Pelican 1510 w/divider set. That would give more space to separate hard items from the computer.
