    Sensei LCM-72 reviews

72mm Screw-In Metal Lens Cap is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 7.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Caps I have these for all of my filters (polarizers, UV's, and ND's) and would not think of storing the filters without one of these. I usually use pinch caps when I am shooting just so that I do not have to take off the lens hood to remove the filters, but I would not hesitate a second to order more of these. I shoot a lot of different types of things and I have my system down to using filters with filter pouches, which save a lot of room over the plastic cases and these covers are more streamlined and much stronger than a snap cap. I love them!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best lens protection and loud when you drop them I buy these metal lens caps for all of my lenses. Because they screw-in, they keep dust from the lenses better than clip-on lens caps. They're metal, so the protect the lens better than any other lens cap. But I mostly use them because I hear them when I drop them. I've lost lots of plastic lens caps, but I've never lost a metal one. They do take longer to remove and put back on the lens though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Cap I use this to replace the plastic pinch cap on my Sigma 8-16mm lens cap. It is metal and screws on tight to the metal collar of the lens cap. Great protection.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bulletproof lens caps I bought four different sizes of the Sensei screw-mount lens caps for my M.Zuiko lenses, 72mm, 62mm, 52mm and 49mm. The two larger caps have the Sensei logo on the face of the cap. The smaller two do not. All four have a silver-colored circle in the middle for the cap fact, much like the Olympus stock lens caps. I bought the caps because the original equipment lens caps from Olympus, while quite functional and easy to use, proved to be too fragile for outdoor nature photography. I spend a lot of time in the mountains and desert and the original caps kept falling apart, or loosening up and not staying in place. I reasoned that screw-mount caps would be more durable. That has proven to be the case. The first two that I took into the field corroded due to the perspiration in my pockets and had a white film on the surface of the face of the caps. I put a dab of WD40 on my finger and rubbed it on the face of all four caps. I have not had any further problems with corrosion and the caps have maintained their original luster. I did have issues with my M.Zuiko lenses because the lens hoods on the M.Zuiko ED 12-40mm f2.8 PRO Zoom lens and the M.Zuiko ED 40-150mm f2.8 PRO Zoom lens and my large fingers interfered with removing and replacing the lens caps. I remedied that by attaching some small, clear plastic, 3M stick-on picture hooks to the face of the caps. I can now remove and replace the caps without having to remove the lens hoods. Overall, I can recommend these lens caps. You lose the convenience of the OEM caps with the squeeze releases, but you won't be chasing these caps down the mountainside either. Depending upon your lenses, you may have to make some modifications, but these lens caps are almost bulletproof.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice metal screw cap used with Xume Ring I purchased this cap to use with my magnetic Xume ring system. It works perfectly for maximum protection of my 18mm - 200mm EF-S IS lens.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than the original The screw mount is far better, and for me, easier to use than the original Sony cap that it replaces

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good For The Money! It fits well. Smooth action, threading. It is metal, so it will be a long lasting one.
