77mm Screw-In Metal Lens Cap is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 29.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is a Must Have Cap I use a Black Rapids strap for my D3. Well the problem with having a camera at the hip is the lens cap will hit said hip and pop off. This is especially a problem with shorter length lenses like the 50mm and 20mm primes. I was constantly picking up my lens cap. One evening I lost the lens cap and said no more. I bought this metal screw on cap and couldn't be happier. As a former QA Tech, i'd love to find a problem with it, but cannot. If pushed into a corner, i'd say it's heavy. Its made of real metal, so I think a tether would be a bad idea for it. But the quality is there. It looks nice as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best lens caps EVER! I cannot find one bad thing about these. They are literally built like a freaking tank, and they will DEFINITELY protect your lenses from drops or getting tossed around in your bag. It's a great piece of kit, and I highly recommend them if you wanna keep your lenses completely safe with almost military grade like sturdiness/protection. Couple these with the XUME adapters, and MAN you've got in my opinion the BEST most protective and fastest removable lens cap designs ever thought of. GET THIS NOW AND NEVER WORRY ABOUT YOUR LENS AGAIN!! The only criticism I have, is I wish there was a 'pro' or 'brass' version to have a much smoother time screwing on and off. But other than that, these are awesome.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great cap! I love this thing, no more lens caps falling off. Just be careful not to over tighten and get them stuck. I recommend putting a microscopic amount of silicone lube on the filter threads. A tiny, tiny bit helps keep things from getting stuck, but doesn't get lube all over.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Secure! This is heavy, but protective and secure. My clip on cap kept falling off in the camera case

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I was looking for I carry my lenses in a top loading backpack with other gear. My lens caps never stay on. Either it would get knocked off by something else in the pack or when I put the lens in (or another lens next to it). Clip on caps were worthless! This lens cap screws into the threads for lens filters. This way, it only comes off by unscrewing it. Now my process is to clean the lens, screw on the lens cap. It's now sealed and ready to go. It takes a few seconds longer to take off; and being for a 77mm lens, getting the threads to catch can be tricky. Also, one lens has a slim filter on it. This cap won't work with that, because it doesn't have outward facing threads. What I like is that this cap doesn't pop on like other lens caps. You first need to catch the thread and then screw it on. At this point, I give it a quick turn and it spins tight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what it should be I use these caps on some of my lenses because I'm always knocking caps off in my camera bag. This prevents that from happening, and is a little classy-looking to boot. Looks just as pictured, and seems to be manufactured well. Threads on smoothly, no defects in finish, etc. Not a bad price, either. These are not for someone who needs to mount/remove a lens cap quickly. They are a bit fiddly to use, though the security is worth it for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New, Old World Quality These caps are great. I have two of them so far (this 77mm and a 67mm) and couldn't be more pleased with their profile/performance. They screw into your 'threaded' lens/filters/hood with ease and provide a secure cover like the lens caps of old. No worry about bumping a plastic cap and accidentally knocking it off your lens. Nicely finished and a very economical alternative to a manufacturer lens cap.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The best at the least cost. I'm a careful person but still lost four lens caps that came with my Canon L-series lens because the plastic caps fall off too easily. I haven't lost any since replacing them with these Sensei metal caps. Also, I'm comforted how these metal caps are protecting my lens much better and keep my UV filters cleaner. It's worth a couple of seconds to screw and unscrew so smooth. And, what a value!!!
