    Impact Background Hooks Reviews

    Exactly what we needed

Our studio has limited space above our green screen because of ceiling pipes, so the brackets with 3 hooks were too big vertically, and we already purchased the ALZO 3-Position Wall Mount Background Support System. Despite these Impact brackets being a different brand from our background mount (not ALZO), the ALZO seamless paper roll holders and metal pipes fit perfectly into these Impact brackets, allowing us to have two backgrounds ready to go at any time, so we don't have to swap out a new paper roll every time we shoot something.

What crossbar is needed to hold a seamless paper roll up?
    Asked by: Zephan
No bar is needed. They come wrapped around a heavy duty cardboard tube. What you do need though is a Varidrive set. If you search “Impact Varidrive” on BnH they should show up. They insert on the ends of the tube, and drop into the slots of these hooks. Then have chains to help roll the paper up and down. Hope that helps!

how far apart do I mount these hooks for a 9' roll?
    Asked by: Georgia
stick the roll holders in the paper and then measure the distance. About 9 feet 4 inches. Because the paper holders (that these mounts accept) slide in and out of the paper roll, you have some leeway and don't have to mount them at a precise distance. The holders that go in the paper roll, slide into the cardboard tube and then you turn the knob to create tension on the roll. So you can slip them in the carboard tube and slide them in and out with a couple of inches of play, to set your paper up. I mean, as long as you don't have them like 11 feet apart, you have several inches of play if you were to mount them at 9 1/2 feet apart or whatever.
