Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice Extra to Have! Was more interested in having the 5/8 to 1/4 -20 adapter, but I got this to have as it is a very useful item to have. Only problem will be securing it to a stud or post smaller than 5/8. It will not mount straight and secure correctly. Luckily I sell electric motors and have shaft bushing adapters available. I made my own adapter to secure on a 3/8 post by using a 3/8 to 1/2 inside a 1/2 to 5/8 bushing. Mounts perfectly now. B&H you need to make some bushings available to people who may need them!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from does its job This adapter does its job. I use it to fasten to a stand to convert to this larger threaded mount piece. The stand has a brass tip that I mount this piece to. Everytime I mount it it scrathes the brass. Not a big deal maybe a rubber tip a the end of the threaded screw could prvent this. Also, the packaging says that the product contains a chemical known to California to cause cancer but not much explanation of what the chemical is. I do not like seeing this on products I use often.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Multiple use adapter Very solid construction adapter with multiple uses. Everything except the handle is steel so you don't have to worry about it breaking. I put them on the end of a grip arm to attach a camera weighing jsut a few pounds and its very secure. I was using them to help hold china balls, but I am changing the way I am rigging those to a karabenier in a grip head.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good product, good price I needed a way to mount individual theatrical lighting instruments on a basic light stand. Several companies make this, but for such a simple adapter I couldn't see paying more just to get it from a major name manufacturer. This does exactly what I need. I will he buying more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Raapid Baby to 3/8 Adapter I use this to enable me to put heavy spot studio lights onto my strobe light tripods. I have not found a simple devise such as them until now that allowed me to use my lights. They are simple to use and appear to be robust.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Quality Control issues I purchased 2 of these. One of them was too small to fit on a standard light stand tip. I called Impact to note the problem, and they did say they would replace, but that I would have to pay for shipping.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid and affordable I bought this for a light that was missing the stand adapter on its yoke and this did the trick. Only wish it had a washer or two, its a bit difficult to really get it tightened down well on install.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works perfect Little bulky, however it makes sense as one can attach a fairly heavy Full Frame camera and a decent sized lens and it still feel secure. You do need a ball head, which I borrowed from my tripod.
