I have a camcorder with a 3.0 LCD view screen. I am using the 3.0 hood. There are two primary considerations. First, does it allow full view of the screen. This one is a little bigger than it needs to be, but not a problem. Second, do the wrap around, leather with velcro tabs fasten securely. The answer to that is that the tabs need to be bent farther down on the tab than the existing bend, resulting in a little less of the velcro matching up. This is not a problem, at least until the velcro weakens over time.For your 2.8 LCD, I suspect the Vello LHV-2.7, also carried by B&H would be a better fit as far as screen size. The actual opening is probably big enough that the 0.1 difference would not matter. Whether the wrap around tabs would be long enough is a question I cannot answer, since I don't have your camera.
