I wish we could test this for you but unfortunately we cannot. That being said, since this is the correct size, we feel there is a good chance that it will work as intended.

will this fit on a Canon SX50 HS, with a listed screen at 2.8 in? thnx
I use this screen on a Canon HF-G30 which has a 3.5 screen and it works fine. I can't there being any problem using it on a smaller screen such as the one your camcorder has..2.8
