I have an older CT-3401 and if you turn one of the leg locks they all sometimes turn. I have other tripods that don't do this. Is this newer version upgraded so this doesn't happen? Otherwise, my Feisol is great.
Asked by: robert
No, each g-lock has to be turned in order to expand the legs of the tripod.

question

Quick question. what is the correct load capacity for this tripod. it shows two separate answers in the description. (can hold up to 39.7 and Load capacity of 19.8 lb (9 kg)???
Asked by: Anthony C.
Feisol states the load capacity of the Feisol CT-3401 Classic Rapid Carbon Fiber Tripod is 40 lbs / 18 kg, nearly identical to the listing under the Product Highlights and Specifications tab. I am not sure why the Overview lists 19.8 lb / 9 kg, which is half of its maximum load capacity, but I have submitted the error to the Web Department and it should be corrected soon. I apologize for any confusion this may have caused you.

question

Do the legs on the CT-3401 fold back over the head to make it more compact for packing?
Asked by: Anonymous
unfortunately, the CT-3401 legs do not reverse-fold, but the legs of the similarly sized CT-3442 do fold over an appropriately sized ball head.
