If you photograph wildlife outdoors, this is a handy accessory. This protects one's camera and lens from rain, etc. while still allowing access to the controls and viewfinder on the camera.

Just got this rain coat and lens cap and immediately the bungee cords gotten loose from their plastic anchors. I have to put a knot at the end to keep it from slipping through the plastic lock. Not a big deal and I can probably figure it out in putting them back in place. Just not expecting something like this to happen when I've not even really used them yet. Otherwise, I'm excited to test them out soon. I'm sure they'll serve their purpose for what they're made for.

Ok. I use it only in extreme weather. For drizzles and light rain, when handheld I typically do nothing special except shield my camera and lens from direct rain when not shooting. My lenscoat on the lens works ok. D850 w/500mm f4E.

Simple, easy, good quality; have used it in the pouring rain and in the snow -- even using it as a windblock for my right hand in bad conditions :)

Doesn't fit no matter what they tell you.

I had a basic 500m f/4 on a nikon d810. If I wanted to protect the camera the hood gets soaked. Not sure if I got sent the wrong size but how could it be this far off? Everything says I ordered the large. Not sure what people with a 600m do.

I hand carry my camera and 500mm lens. I have a strap connected on one end to the camera and the other end to the lens (on the tripod foot). Would I be able to carry my camera and lens with this cover on it? Thanks.
Asked by: CIndy
You should be able to do this. I have used it on a 200-500mm zoom so it should work on a 500 fixed lens.

Asked by: Noel
Yes, LensCoat RainCoat Large Sleeve will perfectly fit the Canon 300mm F2.8 lens with lens hood on the 7D mark II. It will also work for the 100-400mm fully extended on the camera. The cover is design with a velcro patch so the user can have access to put the cover on the equipment while mounted on any tripod head.

Does this fit on Sony A7r + 70-200 MM lens?
Asked by: NILESH J.
While you can fit a Sony A7R and a FE 70-200mm f/4 G OSS Lens in this rain sleeve, it would be too large. A better size would be the LensCoat RainCoat RS (Rain Sleeve) (Medium, Black) B&H # LELCRSMBK. Please see the image below for reference.

It should be fine. I cover my D500 with the 200-500mm just fine. The Velcro bottom seam should allow total head opening variability.
