The LED-7100T can be powered by two included NP-F550 batteries, included AC adapter, or any other Sony L Series batteries. You can use a single battery or two at the same time. When you use two, they'll be drawn simultaneously and can be hot-swapped. A 4-LED indicator on the rear will let you know how much battery life is left for the total number of batteries being used. A dual battery charger, car charger, tilt and swivel ball head, and carry case are also included. The ball head features a shoe mount that can be removed to reveal a 1/4"-20 thread for mounting and adjusting the light on stands, and the carry case fits the light along with all the accessories.

What difference does it make the amount of LEDs?

What difference does it make the amount of LEDs?
Asked by: Anonymous
Generally, the light output or brightness increases as the number of LEDs increases, but unfortunately this isn't quite a direct relationship. Some lights spread the light widely, others put out a more concentrated beam so even if two units have the same number of bulbs, at the same distance the light intensity may be quite different. Manufacturers are not at present using a standard method to rate light output. Some will state "bright as a 60 watt bulb," but most will give the light in LUX. Such a rating is only useful if the lights are tested at the same distance (sometimes stated to measured at one meter, but in many cases the distance for the brightness test is not given). Even if the light intensity of two units is identical at the same distance, if one of them is spreading the output and the other concentrating, then at two meters the brightness may not be identical. IN GENERAL more LEDs mean greater light intensity, so select a unit based upon 1) stated light output in LUX; 2) physical size & weight of the unit consistent with the expected usage (larger for in house/studio or mounted on a stand, smaller for carry about and mounted on the camera); 3) owner ratings and comments of such things as solidity, durability, quality of the light (= correct color temperature) and their experience with brightness, whether it is adequate or not for their usage. Truth is, purchasing one of these LED units is somewhat of a shot in the dark.

Can anyone recommend an adapter to mount this on ...

Can anyone recommend an adapter to mount this on a regular light stand? We have a few of these and the only mount is tripod size screw hole on the bottom of the panel. Would something like this work? https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1428610-REG/rigwheels_sa01_2_light_stand_mount_for.html
Asked by: Joshua
We would suggest a product like the Vello mount below. It has a 1/4"-20 stud to attach to the light and a 1/4"-20 thread on the bottom of it which will allow you to connect it to a light stand with a 1/4"-20 stud. https://bhpho.to/2CUgMdL

question

.So I'm getting ready to purchase and narrowed it down to Bescor FP-312 and the Genaray 7100T...I heard from some that say the Genaray re The Tungsten setting will give you a pinkish orange hue, and the daylight setting a strong red pinkish hue. I know this was written 3 years ago, however, this concerns me. Anyone can verify that the color temp is accurate?...thank you
Asked by: Jimmy
Recent (2017) reports suggest both of these lights do a good job for the price with no adverse color issues.
