I don't think that a 3.0 audio connector exist. They are 3.5 for stereo audio and 2.5 for control. If you are thinking about a 3.0 mini USB then the signals are not the same.

Perhaps you may be thinking of plug-in power, which is a very low voltage (such as 3 to 5V) supplied through the 3.5mm mic input on devices like cameras or recorders for lavalier style condenser mics. The Pearstone cable can transfer plug-in power, but not phantom power.
