With the bubble level up, it slides right into the hot shoe mount. Mine fit rather very snugly with the rubber side slits. Just be careful when using this in the cold weather: cold contracts and it may dislodge if not treated carefully. I have been using these bubble levels for the past three years on my D300s, D610, and D810, and I have only lost one last winter. This bubble level is extraordinarily convenient when setting up on a tripod.

It is designed to fit in a standard hot shoe mount. So if the OM-D-E-M5 has on, then yes.
