Great Backpack

I've had this backpack for many years and have never had a problem with it. When I bought my Nikon Z9 and 6 Z lenses i was concerned they would not all fit. although it gets snug they all fit. In the bag I have my Z14-24 F2.8, Z24-70 F2.8, Z 24-120 F4.0, Z 105 MC f2.8, Z 70-200 F2.8. ad yes even my Z 180-600. I can even leave the z 180-600 connected to the camera but I don't like to take a chance of stressing the Z mount. Oh, the Nikon Z9 also has the RRS L-Bracket on the camera in this picture. Normally I would not have all this gear in at one time but knowing i can is great. The ability to carry my MacBook Pro M2 and the needed accessories in the pouches makes this backpack perfect for my needs. I was looking at other backpacks and the biggie is most are not deep enough to load lenses in face in, you have to lay them on the side restricting the amount that fits in the backpack. The only two senses I had to lay on the side are the Z 70-200 F2.8 and the Z 180-600. Duhhhhh :) This backpack as you can see by the picture has been through many miles yet everything is still working like the day I bought in many years ago. Yes the harness could be more comfortable, yeas the waist strap could be better but for the price I will be buying another one for all my Nikon D500 gear. When B& H sales recommended this backpack I took the leap and am so happy I did.

Nice Bag, But Quickly Falling Apart

Pros: Big enough for a.camera or two with a few lenses, plus a large laptop. Cons: Some would call this bag bulky. Many can prob carry a smaller bag. Why 2 stars: A massive hole in bag adjacent to the front pocket. Have only had the bags 4 months. Likely won't make it to 6 month mark. Highly disappointing for a $100+ bag. Thankful to still have my previous LowePro bag, despite the smaller capacity.

question

Can you put more pictures up? It would be nice to see how the inside is configured. Is it TSA certified for airline travel? Thanks
Asked by: Anonymous
Unfortunately, we are only able to put up the images given to us by the manufacturer. The airline carry on restrictions set out by the FAA are 14 x 9 x 22 ( L x D x H ), and the Ruggard Thunderhead 75 measures 13.0 x 9.25 x 20.5 , making this bag appropriate for carry-on size.

Are the interior dimensions listed in the Specs ...

Are the interior dimensions listed in the Specs referring to the space in the main compartment or does it also include the laptop space? It says the interior is 6.5" deep.
Asked by: Brian and Tisha
Ruggard Thunderhead 75 DSLR & Laptop Backpack internal dimensions of 19.5 x 12 x 6.5" are only for the main compartment. The dimensions for the laptop pocket is separate and does not affect the depth of the main compartment.

I just received this pack today. It is huge!!! I need something to carry my Canon R6 (no grip) with Sigma 150-600 attached. Does anyone know of a pack that will hold the R6 and Sigma which is not this big? I don't care to carry a bunch of other lenses, just the R6/lens combo.
Asked by: Tammy
You can always go smaller, but if you travel, there's room for extras as carry on. The compartments are configurable, it holds my 17in laptop, chargers, and lenses with room to spare. What you don't carry today, you may carry tomorrow.

Would this accommodate a D500 attached to a 200-500, PLUS a D750 attached to either a 24-70, or 16-35 at same time?
Asked by: Brad
All will go in one bag, yes. D500 + 200-500 mounted but then will have to put D750 as body only and the two lenses separately.

question

This bag looks very familiar to the TT StreetWalker Pro. Has anyone compared the two?
Asked by: Michael
They are similar bags but the manufacturers have designed them differently. This Ruggard Thunderhead 75 DSLR & Laptop Backpack is a larger bag than the ThinkTank Photo StreetWalker Pro V1 Backpack, and more expensive too.
