Ruggard 45 overview

  • 1Description

The Hunter Pro 45 DSLR Holster Bag from Ruggard holds your camera face down, with lens attached in shooting position. When you're ready to shoot, simply remove your camera, get the shot and replace your DSLR in the bag. The zippered top of the bag opens away from your body for fast access to your gear. This also serves as a security feature since no one but you will be able to see inside the bag. The bag includes two touch fastened strips that are used to support your gear. The bag has a water-repellent exterior and smooth polyester lining that helps prevent scratches to the finish of your camera/lens combo.

For storage, there is a front zippered organizer panel with additional mesh pocket, exterior mesh side pocket and two side loops that accept optional pouches. On the inside of the bag's quick-release flap, there are two touch fastened memory card pockets. The bag is carried by its adjustable, removable padded shoulder strap, top carry handle or belt loop that will leave you hands free. The zippers have yellow pull tabs that make the bag easy to use while you're wearing gloves. A non-removable, rapid deploy rain cover is stored in a bottom zippered pocket. The bag also contains metal D-rings for attaching an optional chest harness.

Hunter Pro 45 DSLR Holster Bag is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 24.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ready in an instant I use this holster bag all the time. I store my camera and a few accessories in it. I am able to quickly grab the assembled camera for any photo opportunites of my grandchildren when they are at my house (which is a lot)plus any other family get together times. I am also able to easily take my camera to the sporting events of my grandson. It's terrific to pull the pre-assembled camera out for some shots then quickly store it. There is not a lot of spare storage area but it works for me. I really like the memory card pockets. Definitely would recommend this holster bag and vendor. Fast delivery!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Camera Bag I own a Pentax K-3 camera with a large telephoto lens. I often carry it with me as I walk around New York City. My camera easily fits in the bag. The inner velco pads are adjustable to any sized camera and protect the contents from a fall. There are compartments for memory cards and separate place for an extra battery. In addition, the outer pocket is large enough to hold my wallet and keys. I got caught in heavy rain the other day and the rain cover effectively protected it from getting wet. The yellow ties on the zippers contrasts well with the black bag. So it's stylish without drawing unnecessary attention to it containing an expensive digital SLR. Sturdy construction. A well designed product. I've had it for a month and I'm totally pleased.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Bag - Know Its Limits First off, this is my favorite bag of any of the myriad I own either by purchase or throw-in buying camera bodies. The zippers, the pockets, the pockets-inside-the-pockets, everything is exactly where it needs to be. That said, it's snug in there for my cameras most of the time. I only use a hand strap - it would be almost impossible to stuff in a typical neck strap. I'm going to add the Hunter 75 because I just frequently need a little more room, and perhaps the gods will smile on me with a 70-200 2.8 one day and then I'll really need it. All with standard Case Logic hand straps: 6D with 50 1.2 - yes 7D with 16-35 4 - yes, barely 5Ds with 24-70 2.8 - can't zip closed 6D with 24-70 28 - yes SL1 with either 15-55 or 75-300 - surprisingly yes 5Ds with 16-35 4 - no way 6D with 16-35 2.8 - yes Anything with a 70-200, 100 macro or 180 macro - no If you shoot small, the best.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for travel with one lens I bought this to use when I travel and am trying to lighten the load. It fits the D7200 with a 17-70 mm lens, and has a pocket on the front for a charger. You can fit an extra battery in the camera compartment. Quality seems good and I like that it has a waterproof cover with it. I will able to speak to the quality more in a few months after some field use. Seems to be well padded. Just the right size to carry without it being burdensome. The key for me was that it had to be compact so I did not mind carrying it all day long, and that requirement seems to have been met.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great small bag If you are looking for somehting that is small, for nothing more than your camera this is your bag! I have looked at a lot of others, and was even offered a free similar case with my last camera... nope, I bought this one insted. It is hands down the best I have used. The 35 is only slightly smaller if you have a small sized SLR (N D3100_, this one is great if you have a full sized pro stype model (N 7100).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best bag for the buck Fits Nikon D5200 w/ 18-140 and Joby strap perfectly. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it holds up, but it seems like it was the perfect choice.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Perfect size I bought this bag to use with a Sony a6000 with telephoto lens. Fits well, with plenty of space to house the neck strap. Outsize pocket holds extra battery, cleaning tools and if I squeeze it in a 50mm lens to boot. Extra memory cad holds in upper flap are a nice touch. Seems well made and should stand up to our upcoming Africa trip well.
