It mounts directly into the hot shoe of the camera, which also provides power, and then it can record latitude, longitude, altitude, and a universal time. The GPS updates once per second and has an accuracy of 33'. Also, it can acquire satellites in 3 seconds with a hot start and 40 seconds with a cold start. Additionally, it has a USB interface for updating the firmware and GPS files.
