The Impact Fabric Grid for Large Square Luxbanx (40 x 40") BH #IMLBGSQL is specifically designed for the Impact 40x40. Adapting it would be a DIY process that may or may not work out.

How is this grid used? Do you need an aluminum frame with arms and grips heads in a c-stand? Or does it arm itself or is it attached to a softbox?

This grid would fasten via velcro tabs that are stitched into the fabric and inside the lip of the softbox.

Will this fabric grid work effectively with a Westscott 36x48 shallow softbox?

Hi It should work fine with the shallow softbox. I wanted the bigger size so I could use it for both my bigger shallow 36 x 48 soft box and my 12 x 36 strip soft box, but mainly the strip. My gamble paid off bc it works great on the strip with a few clamps. I haven't tried it on the big soft box yet but i don't see why it wouldn't work perfectly. It's very well made but also light and flexible.

Unfortunately, the manufacturer was not able to provide the exact dimensions as it depends on the tension or smoothness when applied to the touch fastener on the softbox, and how much give the material has as it lays above the diffuser.
