Impact Luxbanx Grid Overview

The Impact Fabric Grid for Large Rectangular Luxbanx is a 36 x 48" light modifier that attaches quickly to the softbox's recessed front via touch-fasteners. The 40° grid narrows the beam spread from your softbox to control spill light and add directionality similar to a reflector while maintaining a soft quality of light. Will this fabric grid work effectively with a Westscott 36x48 shallow softbox?

Hi It should work fine with the shallow softbox. I wanted the bigger size so I could use it for both my bigger shallow 36 x 48 soft box and my 12 x 36 strip soft box, but mainly the strip. My gamble paid off bc it works great on the strip with a few clamps. I haven't tried it on the big soft box yet but i don't see why it wouldn't work perfectly. It's very well made but also light and flexible.

The Impact Fabric Grid for Large Rectangular Luxbanx (36 x 48 ) is larger than what is required by the Chimera Medium Softbox. It will fit, but it hangs too loosely to work properly. You would either have to personally modify the Impact Fabric Grid for Large Rectangular Luxbanx (36 x 48 ), or you would have to purchase the correct grid from Chimera.

No, the Impact Fabric Grid for Large Rectangular Luxbanx (36 x 48") is not compatible with the Profoto RFi 3.0 x 4.0' Softbox.

No, the Impact Fabric Grid for Large Rectangular Luxbanx (36 x 48") will not fit the ARRI Chimera Lightbank with Brackets for S60 SkyPanel (36 x 48"), MFR # L2.0021389. Grids are generally light specific. Chimera makes a number of grids for the ARRI Chimera Lightbank with Brackets for S60 SkyPanel (36 x 48"), BH # ARL20021389.

I see that someone answered this question. But I have noticed that the grid in question has the same measurements of the Chimera Small lightbank. Why then should it not fit?

It will fit a Chimera bank, but it will hang too loosely to work in the proper manner.

The Impact Fabric Grid for Large Square Luxbanx (40 x 40") BH #IMLBGSQL is specifically designed for the Impact 40x40. Adapting it would be a DIY process that may or may not work out.
