The Impact Fabric Grid for Extra Small Octagonal Luxbanx is an 18" light modifier that attaches quickly to the softbox's recessed front via touch-fasteners. The 40° grid narrows the beam spread from your softbox to control spill light and add directionality similar to a reflector while maintaining a soft quality of light. Unlike unwieldy rigid grids, Impact fabric grids are extremely lightweight and fold flat for transport in the included carry case.

Can anyone give me exact dimensions on the point to point and flat to flat edge of this grid?
Unfortunately, the manufacturer was not able to provide the exact dimensions as it depends on the tension or smoothness when applied to the touch fastener on the softbox, and how much give the material has as it lays above the diffuser.

Will this fabric grid work effectively with a Westscott 36x48 shallow softbox?
Hi It should work fine with the shallow softbox. I wanted the bigger size so I could use it for both my bigger shallow 36 x 48 soft box and my 12 x 36 strip soft box, but mainly the strip. My gamble paid off bc it works great on the strip with a few clamps. I haven't tried it on the big soft box yet but i don't see why it wouldn't work perfectly. It's very well made but also light and flexible.

The Impact Fabric Grid for Large Square Luxbanx (40 x 40") BH #IMLBGSQL is specifically designed for the Impact 40x40. Adapting it would be a DIY process that may or may not work out.

Any idea if it would work with a Chimera medium softbox?
The Impact Fabric Grid for Large Rectangular Luxbanx (36 x 48 ) is larger than what is required by the Chimera Medium Softbox. It will fit, but it hangs too loosely to work properly. You would either have to personally modify the Impact Fabric Grid for Large Rectangular Luxbanx (36 x 48 ), or you would have to purchase the correct grid from Chimera.

I see Kirk R. has replied that this will not fit the Chimera Octopus 5. Why won't it fit? Can it be modified to fit by stitching velcro to the sides so it will attach? For some reason Chimera wants $680 for the grid which seems unreasonable for a grid so I need to modify something cheaper.
After double checking with the manufacturer, they have stated that this grid does not fit a 5' Chimera Octaplus.
