question

Does this microphone work well with a Tascsm DR-22WL audio recorder?
Asked by: Zack B.
Hi Zack. I don't have that audio recorder but it works very well with my Cannon Vixia video camera. Very sensative, picks up everything and the fuzzy wind buster does its job. I video in an outdoor pavilion with all kinds of ambient noise. This really helps focus on who I want to record. Hope that is helpful.

I am getting a static like sound at times and wonder what the source may be?
Asked by: John
static sound may also happen due to your AGC or Automatic Gain Control. When there is no volume for the mic / camera to pick up (like pauses in speaking), the AGC of the camera will kick in and boost the signal to check for audio. that causes static. I always shoot with AGC off.

I'm experiencing static type interference and wonder what the source may be?

While interference type noise can be caused by a variety of situations, some reasons could be too long of an extension cable, low battery output, cable proximity to smartphones or wi-fi routers, and cable proximity to ac power cords.
