  • 1Description

The TL-PA4010KIT AV500 Nano Powerline Adapter Starter Kit from TP-Link provides you with two TL-PA4010 Powerline Ethernet adapters so you can transfer data on your home's existing electrical wires, while simultaneously transferring power. This kit supports distances of up to 984' (300m) and delivers data a rate of 500 Mbps. Each adapter features an Ethernet port and connects to a standard power socket to create a wired network connection between your Ethernet-enabled devices. To simplify the setup process, a pair button is onboard for configuring the adapters with each other. For network security, the AV500 comes armed with 128-bit AES encryption. Furthermore, it's outfitted a Power Saving mode that reduces its energy consumption by up to 85%.

Connectivity
With advanced HomePlug AV technology, this adapter offers you stable, high-speed data transfer rates of up to 500 Mbps on a line length of up to 984.3' (300m). With speeds of up to 500 Mbps, the TL-PA4010KIT is suitable for heavy-bandwidth applications such as HD streaming, on-line gaming, and large-file downloading.
Compact Design
The TL-PA4010 is smaller than the previous legacy mini 500 Mbps Powerline products. It neatly blends in front of a power outlet by featuring a 1.12" (28.5mm) thick enclosure.
Pair Button for Easy Network Security
By pushing the Pair button on the adapter, you can set up a hassle-free Powerline network within minutes, complete with 128-bit AES encryption for network security and data protection. Simply plug the adapter into the power outlet, connect the device via the network cable to the adapter, and press the pair buttons.

    TP-Link TL-PA4010KIT reviews

TL-PA4010KIT AV500 Nano Powerline Adapter Starter Kit is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Useful Upgrade from Wi-Fi The adapter kit connects our downstairs router to an upstairs office PC, equivalent to a wired run of about 65 feet, via the house wiring. We simply plugged each unit into wall sockets and connected one to the router and one to the PC using the supplied RJ45 cables. The only setup was to push a single button on one of the units and pairing was automatic. For this first month, connection has been uninterrupted, more consistent than the Wi-Fi we had been using and internet speeds seem to fluctuate only with what is supplied by the cable company. Our service is advertised as 15/5Mb and we have been clocking 18+/5 most of the time. The test will be when we upgrade to 50/15 service. Until then, I have nothing critical to say.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Good Performance and Price! One of the best ways to extend network (and Internet) connectivity, as good or better than more expensive name brand units. Works in most but not all cases (depending on electrical wiring and other electrical devices). Be sure to plug directly into receptacles, since surge suppressors can interfere with operation.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Deception... I bought this item to expand my wifi network, it's done, but bandwith is only 100Mb/s instead of 500Mb/s as told. is there a jam in the description of the product? Sometimes we read: AV500 and sometimes: AV200... I think i bought AV500 according to packaging but I'm very disapointed by the reduce of the bandwith. To expand wifi network, you'd better choose another gear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Presto, chango internet connection, great product & service First the staff at B&H are the best. I told them the problem and they suggested the product. But better yet, it was simple and worked flawlessly. Could not ask for better service, a great product and a solution that was not only the most cost effective but also the least complicated. Would recommend to a friend or anyone needing to put a network connection were one does not exist. VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works very well, I bought one set and hard-wired TV in my daughter's room. It took seconds to do and the thing works like a charm. I bought another one (single unite) and had by son's PS4 hard-wired. It was a struggle to get it connected. tried various things. Finally after disconnected my daughter's TV I got PS4 connected and then connected my daughter's TV. Both work fine now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice, fast, and super easy to install. Price is perfect for what you get. Super easy to install, plug in transmitter, plug in receiver, press button, and done. I know 500Mbs is not terribly fast for data transfer but for HD video streaming, it's perfect. Not many users are going to need the higher end Gb/s devices that are more than double the price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from As advertised Installed easily. 5 days now and seems to be working well. It seems to make the bridge 2 different circuits in the same overall service. Probably through the service entrance.Fingers crossed. Best ever... So far. To extend the LAN to a 3rd station. Had to buy another starter kit, but that's okay!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It works without any customization. I was skeptical to use this product to expand my network. I needed additional network outlets at the far end of my house for my HD IP cameras. I plugged one to an outlet next to my router and the other pair an outlet outside my house viola I have network connection.
