We had a corner of the house that our wifi would not reach and we could not run an ethernet cable. The adapter paired up instantly, and once connected we finally were able to get connection. Now to be fair though we only got half the bandwidth through the adapter, but for us this was better than nothing!

500Mbps? Try 50... setup was a breeze, and they work great. Except I am getting between 40 and 50 Mbps max. This was tested on both a laptop and a PS4 Pro. Our internet package is 100Mbps+, and I get that over our iPhone/iPad's wifi and when hardwired to the router on my desktop. Only bought these adapters because of the terrible wifi radio in the PS4. 40-50 is still a huge improvement, but it's a tenth what the box says. Any suggestions on getting that raised a bit?
While the adapter itself is capable of speeds up to 500Mbps, your speeds are limited by the 1 x 10/100 Mbps Ethernet Port. The only way around this limitation is to purchase an adapter with a gigabit ethernet port.

The plug on this model is designed for use in the United States; however, the TL-PA4010 Kit supports 100 - 240V 50/60Hz, so you can use them as long as you have the appropriate socket adapter.

This kit makes an Ethernet connection, so anything that works over Ethernet will work, including VoIP services like Vonage.
