The FotodioX Pentax K Pro Lens Adapter for Leica M-Mount Cameras is a high quality adapter that allows you to mount a Pentax K mount lens to a Leica M-mount camera body. It features an aluminum-alloy construction with a hard anodized finish as well as the ability to focus to infinity.

Although the lens will physically fit, automatic lens control and functions will not operate correctly while using this adapter. You can utilize aperture priority mode in combination with stop-down metering for automatic exposure control on your camera.

I purchased this close to a year ago and had to return it because the adapter did not lock into the body. I tried again. This time a Pentax lens was jammed onto the adapter. Impossible to release. B&H could not or would not rectify. Bummer.

a new defective

The adapter would not click into place on the body side and was too tight on the lens side. I almost couldn't separate one of my lenses from the adapter. This was surprising since my Fotodiox Pentax K to Nikon Z adapter works perfectly and the same for several Fotodiox adapters owned by my partner. I returned it and ordered the Novoflex.

Does the focus mechanism work with the leica rangefinder with this adapter?Thanks

All lens mechanisms will be manual when using this adapter.

Description mentions iris control on the adapter, but there is no such lever or control from the photos. Can you confirm if it is possible?

I can confirm, this adapter has no iris or aperture control i.e. will work OK with lenses that have aperture ring (K/M/A/F/FA series) but not with others (FA J, DA, DA L). The information listed in B&H Photo Video is incorrect (I also confirmed with the manufacturer). Having said that, the adapter is still good value and solid (I'm keeping mine, even though I can't use it with my DA lenses)

Can this adapter fit Film Rangefinder camera of VM mount

This adapter works well with Leica M 240 camera because the digital display can be used to frame and focus the image. Although film type M cameras have the same flange focal distance as the M 240 and will work just as well with this adpter, but you will have to guess the object distance and the framing. The distance is easy enough to guess (using a small aperture helps) but for framing you may want to imrovise a flash shoe viewfinder. Good luck.
