Other than long lenses I have a few wide angle lenses (Like Nikon 14-24 and Nikon 8-15) can this raincoat be adjusted in case I would want to use one of the small lenses?
Asked by: Elad
It would be pretty awkward. The cover is 29" long, which fits my 600mm well. The fat end is 13" in diameter. There's a lot of material there. However, there is a Velcro seam along the entire bottom of the lens. You could probably manage to bunch up most of the fabric under your gear. What I would do instead is to pirate the shower cap from the next hotel in which you stay and use that for your shorties.

will this work with the wimberley gimbal?

will this work with the wimberley gimbal?
Asked by: Khody
In theory, since there is an opening for the lens collar/foot, it should work. In practice though, it might be a little cumbersome to use and balance when on the Wimberley gimbal. I'd recommend practicing/attempting to balance lens on your gimbal at home before taking it out onto the field.

question

Will the LCRC2PM4 fit the Canon5DM4 with the 100-400mm II Usm with the 1.4 extender with the Wimberley Sidekick gimbal on a RRS ballhead? I also use the Tamron 150-600 lens and would like one raincoat to fit both.
Asked by: Kathy
That set up shouldn't be a problem. I have a regular gimbal and shot with a 500mm attached to a 1DX and had no issues. The 100-400 is smaller so it would handle that with ease, the only concern would be the side kick offset at 90 degrees as the Velcro is set up to be on the bottom. Your set up is weather sealed very well so it shouldn't be an issue but when I shot vertical the Velcro closure would occasionally open slightly. That being said, I shot in a couple of downpours with no issue whatsoever. The addition of the dual access points was a tremendous advantage as well when I needed to focus manually. Good luck, and a great product

How well does this fit the Sigma 150-600mm Contemporary? Would the Raincoat 2 Standard be a better fit (although I fear it might be slightly too small)?
Asked by: Andy
I use this cover for my Nikon 200-400mm with 1.4 extender. Works great.
