question

I'm very interested in this product, my only concern is I own a Nikkor 200-500mm, but the product tops out at 400mm. Any thoughts about my predicament, potential issues you see owning the product? I assume I would be limited as to how far I could zoom, but I appreciate your feedback.
Asked by: Tim
I use this cover with my Sigma 150-600 C and I can go all the way to 600 fairly easily. I'm not sure what the total barrel length of the sigma is as compared to the 200-500, but I'm sure you can look up the specs when fully extended and if they're similar go for it! The only problem I have with the cover is it's kind of a pain to zoom in and out because once the cover is secured on the lens it will twist along with it. Other then that it helped me a lot while in Africa.

question

Does this also help protected the camera from the sun/ help keep a dslr from overheating?
Asked by: Nicole R.
Nicole , Don't think it would , but it's the best shooting bad weather , rain /snow/fog . I would not use it for overheating just use a white towel . Walt
