Recently, Universal Audio released LUNA, its free, macOS-based recording platform that communicates with UA interfaces and provides switchable analog summing engines modeled on classic consoles, as well as integrated multitrack tape saturation. LUNA offers Neve and Studer tones as optional LUNA extensions if you crave the character. You’ll have access to instruments from Moog and more. Realtime Monitoring will allow you to track and mix within Luna’s intuitive confines and unlimited channel counts, letting you instantiate any third-party AU plug-in you desire, as well.
