The Sensei PRO 72-82mm Brass Step-Up Ring permits the use of 82mm threaded filters on lenses with 72mm filter threads. It features brass construction and is coated with a matte black finish to minimize reflections. Brass offers enhanced durability and resistance to warping over conventional aluminum rings and is also less prone to jamming or binding to additional step-up rings, filters, or lenses. This step-up ring has large side knurlings to provide a more textured grip when mounting or removing it from a lens.
- Use 82mm Filters on 72mm Lens

Sensei SURP-7282 Reviews
Brass is superior to Aluminum
I have both Brass and Aluminum step-up-rings, and the brass rings constantly are easier to install and remove. Aluminum is too soft and easier to cross thread. I like the price of Aluminum rings better than the brass ones, but I've learned that a good deal is soon forgotten when you have to fight with an inferior product repeatedly.
Highly recommended over some of the cheaper options
I purchased these brass step-up rings from Sensei without knowing how they would stack up against some of the much cheaper alternatives I had purchased in the past. While these are quite a bit more expensive than some of the cheaper, thin aluminum options, when you are placing expensive glass on the ends of these step-up rings, you feel confident that your lens filters are safe and secure. These adapters come in a very nice, solid plastic case and you can immediately tell their high quality when you pick them up. They thread on and off my Sigma Art/Rokinon Cine series lenses with ease and feel like a piece of kit that will last a lifetime.
As expected
Works like a regular aluminum step up ring, but I've never had any issues with sticking or cross threading. Another pro is this thing doesn't have the same level of 'scraping' noise you get on aluminum rings.
Brass is king !
no thread locking since I started using these brass rings instead of the cheaper the aluminium ones i used to have. built to last and a nice addition to my camera kit !
Top quality Step-Up
Excellent finish with knurled sides that make much easier to remove from the lens or the filter ! Great to be able to use 82mm filters on all my lens !
Got to get brass
I try to only buy step-up rings and filters constructed from brass whenever possible. Brass has less of a chance of warping and getting stuck to the threads of the lens. They are constructed well and go on and off the lens like butter. I just wish they cost what aluminum ones cost.
Worth paying a little extra
I have several set-up rings and I am replacing the inexpensive Aluminum ones with Brass. The Aluminum versions deform more easily and can be very difficult to remove from the lens or separate from the filter. This Sensei Brass ring performs just like you want. No struggles, just works.
It's great!
I love the ridges.
