SKB 1SKB-R4S Reviews
Good Quality
I was really impressed with the lightness and sturdiness of this shallow rack case. Worth every penny.
Simply the best.
I wish I had just gone with these earlier - some of the bad reviews out there kept me away. Mine had no issues with thin walls, plastic shavings inside, etc. Perhaps buckles will prove to be a bit loose, but seems easy enough to simply curve them in a bit more with channel lock pliers/wrench. Originally I thought I would prefer other cases with the equipment more flush with the front of the case when open, but there is plenty of space to get your fingers to adjust knobs even near the edges of the case on mounted gear, plus the recess provides a bit more protection. These stack very well also. The tops do not sag very much, which some others do. (some pictures make them look very saggy, but all of mine are not) Finally, I don't know of any others that allow for shallow racks to be mixed with full-depth when stacking - this is very useful.
