The black 4U Roto Shallow Rack Case with Steel Rails from SKB is a rotationally-molded shallow rack case with multiple applications, including holding equipment such as computers or music players which are "rack-able" or which can be screwed into the case. This case has steel front and rear threaded rails with a rail-to-rail depth of 10.7" and four vertical rack units. There is a water-resistant gasket in the lid and a side grip handle.

will the shallow units nest ontop the regular depth units? I would like to combine shallow units ontop of my regular depth units
Yes, the SKB Roto Rack Cases are designed to be stacked, so the SKB 4U Roto Shallow Rack Case can be stacked on top of standard depth Roto Rack Cases.

Are the locking clips of your in-stock products attached to the lid or the case? All the newer stock skb cases have lid mounted ones, but the ones in your photos are case mounted

Does it have a cover for both front and back?
Yes it has a cover front and back. They are both turnbuckle latches and both have a rubber gasket. Both covers fit very good. Awesome case, there's none better.
