This VT-350 is working GREAT for my video camera. Would you recommend such a tripod for a 6 pound spotting scope?
Asked by: Michael
The unit certainly has that weight capacity. If you put a tripod leg directly under the length of your scope as it extends out from the tripod base it should be fine. The tripod is quite light-weight for the duty it pulls and makes it attractive for making it part of a simple mobile/remote kit. However, one down side (like all light-weight tripods) is: It can be susceptible to vibration transference depending on your environmental/physical conditions (i.e. If your floor isn't really solid around all three feet while you're standing and recording next to the tripod you can get "jiggle" in your recording image as you move on the floor.) But if you're simply using it to "spot," this shouldn't be an issue?

Can I connect the cage of my Sony a6500 directly to it? And if not what part should I buy?
Asked by: oriel
This tripod is excellent considering its low price; I have two of them. It has a standard mount (one comes with the unit and you can buy them separately as well) that would definitely fit the a6500 and likely the (unspecified) cage, as long as the cage has the same threaded screw hole as the camera.

I have a slider one V2 from edelkrone and headone. Will this be able to support the weight shift as the slider moves from point A to point B?
Asked by: Andrew
Yes, according to the specs of the slider and the tripod it should hold the weight. I would recommend putting sand bags on the spreader of the tripod for more stability.

question

I just purchased the vt-350. Upon inspection, it appears the head is slightly tilted on the column. Is there a way to adjust this. Its obviously tilted as I can slide a piece of paper on one side of the head, but the other I cannot. Any Advice?

The head of the Magnus VT-350 Video Tripod with Fluid Head is not removable from the tripod legs. Also, the legs are not sold separately.
