    Raya OC-OF7 reviews

Octa Fluorescent 7 Socket Fixture is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 15.
Rated 3 out of 5 by from Raya Octa light I tried for 2 days to come up with a worse idea for an umbrella and then gave up. They found it. If you plan on tearing it down and opening it back up, this is not the one for you. BUT, if you plan to set it up and leave it set up it works great! You have to insert each peg of the umbrella into the light head and that is not as easy as it sounds. Horrible design to an otherwise fine product that carries a great price.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Inexpensive light with pro results. This is a great socket fixture for the Raya Octa soft box. There are two switches in back for running 3 and/or 4 bulbs depending on need. I use it for narrative and documentary video production. As great as the results are, some people my not like the fact that putting on and taking off the proprietary soft box is a pain. Not an issue if you are setting it up and leaving it in the studio. Just something to be aware of.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from take a bit to warm up but then they put out quite a bit of light. I'm pleased. I'm also Very pleased with how long the cord is. I haven't noticed WB being a problem either. I also like you can turn on some or all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from bright Nice and bright, use them indoors, the only thing I should have thought about, is the size. The head is not really easy to break down, but I don't think they were meant for that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Deal Zone buy Bought during a Deal Zone day as part of a 2 light kit. Delivers great light for home shoots.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does Its Job I use this for on-location portraits, and the octabox gives beautiful results. Shooting one or two people anywhere is a breeze, provided you can find a power outlet. The output of the lights in the octabox is sufficient for digital, at 800 ISO and higher, but quite insufficient if you're shooting film. Assembly is obvious, though not necessarily easy; the octabox took a long time to install, and I had to struggle with it at times, but once it's on, it's on. That said, I wouldn't want to have to dis-assemble it, because it was hard putting it together, so I keep it pretty much intact. It's a decently-made octabox, quality of light is very smooth and nice; the bulbs and fixture are of good enough quality that only a fall would break the fixture. The light stand is much more heavy-duty than expected, very good! It also gets a little hotter inside the octabox than was expected, but never too hot. The only reason I give 4/5 stars is difficulty of assembly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Very useful Bought this in a kit as this was the main feature I needed - multiple bulb holder and kit price was great. Love the flexibility to add various standard base lights for specific needs. Soft box that came in kit works very well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Light, Excellent Value I purchased these for our high school students to use in the studio. The students enjoy them more than the LED panels, they have better output, and seem fairly protected inside the included softbox.
