This Cavision 37-46mm Step-Up Ring enables the use of 46mm threaded filters on lenses with 37mm filter threads. The 6mm depth enables this ring to fill the gap between the lens and the back of select rod-mounted matte boxes, helping to keep reflections from hitting your lens. The step-up ring has a 49mm outside diameter for use with clip-on matte boxes. It features a lightweight, aluminum-alloy construction with a black anodized finish.

    37 to 46mm Threaded Step-Up Ring is rated 4.0 out of 5 by 1.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Serves its purpose with one minor setback Using this on a Panasonic 42.5 1.7 lens for a Hoya 46mm ND filter. Threads nicely at both ends, but in order to use the lens hood that came with the 42.5, you must attach the lens hood first and then screw in the step up ring which is a pain due to the tight clearance. I just shoot with the lens hood off though.
