It is equipped with a three-way head that supports loads up to 10 lb and is suitable for both photo and video applications. The head provides pan and tilt control, as well as a horizontally tilting camera platform for switching to 90° portrait orientation. For easy camera attachment and removal, a quick release plate with a standard 1/4"-20 screw and video register pin is included.

The tripod reaches a maximum height of 73" with the center column extended and offers a minimum working height of 27". PV-7451M Tripod/Monopod with 3-Way Pan/Tilt Head is rated 4.2 out of 5 by 32.
Rated 2 out of 5 by from Great except for one thing I'm using two of these units. Everything is great about them except for the wobbly attachment plate. The camera has a good 1/4 - 1/2 play when firmly inserted. This is unacceptable and I cannot recommend this tripod. Because of this wobble, you can't frame stills without a lot of difficult compensating. For video, it's just too loose. Too bad a great product has to have this one vital problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great tripod plus we love the bonus monopod! Some of the reviews for this mentioned the loose head that would tilt/move despite locking it down. We found it to be the opposite - the head is harder to move and when tightened, it isn't sagging or tilting! Given the versatility, light weight, included bag, and its ability to become a monopod, we are very happy with it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So impressed I bought another one! I have purchased several tripods, but have been disappointed with either the cheap construction or the lack of smooth pan and tilt. Not a problem here. And then there is the combo tripod / monopod to make good value great. Love it!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Wobbly head disappoints Although the monopod option is a 2 in 1 plus, it causes the head to wobble. The head is challenging to stabilize even with all of the locks set. The heavier the cameras, the more pronounced the problem becomes. On a positive not, it is light weight and easy to carry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic for the low price This tripod is better than next to all other tripods in the same price range. Not a single complaint with the sticks; they are lightweight but very stable. The only issues I had were with the head, as it can occasionally have some friction, but still performed exceptionally for the price. The monopod feature was also very nice. When not in use it tucks away nicely and is completely out of the way. On the monopod exclusively to keep the legs extended you have to twist the pole, but its not quite as simple as lefty loosy, righty tighty, and can be tightened by turning either way which can be confusing. While I do wish it had the same locks as the sticks, once tightened it still performs great. Once again, a fantastic tripod, especially for the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This tripod is the best Used the tripod for shooting stills with a DSLR, but primarily for shooting video outdoors. Handles well, sturdy, and easy to move. The available monopod is crucial for when I want to move around a scene or we need to be mobile. I suppose the only draw back is it might be a little heavy for some users, but I would rather it be heavy than fall over

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the job but won't leave unattended You get what you pay for and this product does the job for a simple tripod shoot but nothing more than that. I wouldn't leave it unattended as it doesn't seem too sturdy. The monopod is a nice element and I still give it four stars because I knew all of this going into it so for the price and simple usage it is fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really Good Tripod!! Jan 24, 2016 Review of: Magnus PV-7451M Tripod/Monopod with 3-Way Pan/Tilt Head I purchased the Magnus tripod for use with my Canon Rebel XT DSLR. I'm taking a digital photography class at Umpqua Community College here in Oregon, and since I was going to be taking a lot of different kind of photographs to meet the syllabus of this course I needed a good tripod. My other tripod was in use with one set of 25 x 100 Celeste on astronomical binoculars, and between these two issues was a good excuse for a new tripod. I had had good experience with B&H photo before, went online to see what they carried in the way of tripods. Wow, quite a collection of tripods. So I narrowed down the criteria for my choice and went with the Magnus PV 7451M. The reviews that were online were very favorable and the fact that the center portion of the tripod was removable for use as a monopod was a real plus. The quick release mechanism for attaching my camera has turned out to be a tremendous advantage. I bought my Canon Rebel XT in 2008 and had used its 18-55 lens for general photography. The primary reason I bought the camera was it was a good quality DSLR, and with a few accessories could be used with my telescopes for digital astrophotography. (I have a 5 inch Maksutov-Cassegrain on an Alt-Az mount and an 8 inch Schmidt- Cassegrain on a German equatorial mount.) So most of my use of the camera has been astronomical in nature, that is until I started taking my digital photography class. So in summary, the tripod has allowed me the flexibility I need to meet the class requirements and to learn some new tricks in terrestrial photography. Thus, even as a novice user I find the tripod meets all of my requirements and works as advertised
