With the 8x8 frame, can you use the half-length sections to create (2) or at least (1) 4x4 panel(s) as well? Or will they only work in combination to make an 8x8 frame? I won't always need the 8x8 but would like to have the option of just one system for both smaller and larger shoots. Obviously I'd have to buy the different size diffusion materials but would be great if the frame could be used for both sizes.
Asked by: Michael
Yes, the frames can be arranged in any possible combination.

question

is the net large enough that it would create a pattern on the subject if you used it between the sun and subject...ie not behind the subject but using it to cut down the light on the subject....does that make sense ?
Asked by: Jason
This fabric would not produce a pattern, but rather it would just reduce the amount of light hitting the subject.

Is there a way to angle this on a C-Stand? Or is this used only for handheld applications?
Asked by: NICHOLAS
Nicholas, We recommend mounting this using the 2' Yoke (Westcott Part #7459) and that simply attaches to a grip head on top of a C-Stand.

question

Can the two pieces be separate so two 4x6? OR be modify into 4x4 frame or 8x8?
Asked by: Nelson W.
Yes this can be separated to have (2) 4 x 6 frames. If you needed to make one of the frames into 4 x 4, you would need to use (4) of the Scrim Jim Cine Frame Tubes in 46 plus (4) of the Scrim Jim 2D Corner Frame Connectors. For the 8 x 8 size, you would just need to double up those parts.

Will this work with a Matthews Road Flag II frame?
Asked by: Stephen
The Matthews Road Flag system employs straps to connect the fabric to the frame. Some modifications such as adding additional hook and loop straps or other DIY connections would be required to adapt the Westcott Scrim Jim Cine fabrics to the Matthews Road Flag system.
