I use this on my Redrock shoulder rig hanging off the back to act as a counter weight when I have my Anton Bauer battery on it. It really balances the rig out and serves a purpose rather than having simple counter weights. Having the built in regulated NP-FW50 dummy battery cable is genius and the extra p tap is perfect to power my monitor. I use the p tap on the battery to power my follow focus. There isn't anything else out there like this for the money. The only grip would be that the articulating 15mm rail mount is a bit cheap feeling and it doesn't tighten very well. I'd suggest they beef this part up and but and allow you to rotate the v mount plate 180 degrees if you want since the battery hangs upside down when you hang this off the back of the rail system. Otherwise this is the best value you can get for something like this by far!

What connection cable do I need to power the Atomos Ninja Assassin using this v-mount plate ? I know that a v-mount battery has to be mounted too. Thanks.

We suggest using this D-Tap (at the V-Mount Plate) to Sony dummy battery (at the Assassin). IndiPRO Tools D-Tap to Sony L-Series Power Converter B&H # INPTS74

How many devices can this connector power at a time?

The IndiPRO Tools V-Mount Plate with Sony NP-FW50 Dummy Battery has a connector that goes into Sony cameras like the a7 that take the dummy battery connection. The plate has also a d-tap for one other device. If you need to power more devices, you can use these splitters. Just keep in consideration, the more devices you power, the shorter the time the battery can power the camera.
