Ilford 1865408 reviews

Multigrade FB Warmtone Paper (Glossy, 8 x 10" , 100 Sheets) is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 28.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good, Reliable... I still feel the same as I always have (decades) about Ilford papers. This is a good solid paper, the glossy a bit too glossy, the semi-matt too matt. But, it is good and it is consistent... maybe its best attribute. I love Bergger CB Style, not as good as 15 years ago, but, still a beauty, great surface (semi-gloss), but, very expensive, and since it has disappeared at least twice I know about, i am reticent to get hooked again. All that said, thank you Ilford for your commitment to traditional B&W darkroom photography! Between you and Kodak Tri-X I am still a happy darkroom photographer. And, that you B&H for keeping products in stock and good service.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from great product in a brown box overall one of the best warmtone papers I have ever used

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Superb balance and sheen. One of the pillars of the darkroom community. Ilford WT fiber has wonderful tonality (especially after a 5 minute dip in 1:20 selenium toner). I favor the color over the more blue-green of Ilford Classic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warmtone makes a beautiful touch I love this paper, and I don't see me using anything but this from here on out. If you have any complaints with this paper, it's a user mistake.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A Wonderful Mistake! I purchased the multigrade warmtone for my photography class at Ithaca College. I was told to buy multigrade, fiber-based, double weight glossy photo paper, and I made the mistake of getting warmtone. It was the best mistake I've ever made! It shows the brightest whites and the darkest blacks just as well as regular multigrade, but the warmtone makes everything have a sepia tone, causing my pictures to look incredibly antique and traditional. I love it! However, it might've just been my particular package or maybe this specific paper as a whole, the surface of the paper is ruined when I put it in the small cylinder dryer in the photo lab. All the other Ilford papers that people use come out dry and glossy still, while this warmtone paper of mine comes out with a rough, texturized surface that degrades the image. I use an average hand dryer on the wall to dry them now, and that seems to do the trick. Overall, I would highly recommend this paper! My photos have gotten a lot of compliments because of it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Quality for the best Price! This paper creates the most striking black and white prints for one of our artists. The weight, tone and finish is of the finest for the price! We highly recommend this paper for all those old school printers out there still messing around in the darkroom.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Greatest paper In making traditional prints in the darkroom, this is the paper of choice for me, especially in smaller sizes. The warmth and depth of the tones cannot be matched by anything else, digital or traditional silver/gelatin.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would buy this product again! I used this paper for a class I took in college, and I loved the warm gray that it produced and it's consistency. The glossiness also seemed to enhance the depth of the blacks and the vibrance of the shades of gray.
