Oben AC-1441 4-Section Aluminum Tripod with BA-111 Ball Head

The Oben AC-1441 4-Section Aluminum Tripod with BA-111 Ball Head provides reliable support for DSLRs, point-and-shoot cameras or video cameras up to 11 lb.

The tripod's three-section legs are fabricated from high tensile strength aluminum. It rises to a maximum height of 61.6" with the center column fully extended and folds down to a compact 21.3" for transport. Flip locks on the legs facilitate rapid setup and break down. Three leg angles: normal (80°), low (55°) and extra low (24°) are available via angle adjustment tabs at the joint of each leg. You can reverse the column with a twist of the butterfly knob or split it in two and use the short column for macro and low angle shooting as low as 8.3" from the ground. Any combination of leg angles can be combined to accommodate uneven terrain, stairs or obstructions. A built-in bubble level helps you square up your compositions. For extra stability, the center column employs a spring-loaded counterbalance hook.

The included BA-111 ball head features a single-action knob that controls its rotation and 360 degree panning while a robust ball-locking mechanism secures it solidly. The head's four bubble levels ensure accurate panoramas. The BA-111's built-in quick release comes with a camera plate that features a standard 1/4"-20 screw and a retractable, removable video pin to provide additional stability for camcorders. Since the head is removable, locking screws underneath the collar thwart torsion when re-attaching. The tripod comes with a carry case and shoulder strap for storage and transport.

A spring-loaded counterweight hook is located at the bottom of the center column. The column can be separated into two parts to give you a short column for low angle and macro work
Leg cushions on two legs provide a firm grip in cold or wet weather
Two included hex keys attach to a tripod leg, so you're always ready to tighten components
Padded carry bag provides a snug fit for the tripod/head combination and features two heavy-duty zippers, an interior pocket with a zipper, and a shoulder strap
Angle adjustment locks keep legs at the chosen angles
Center column is grooved to prevent rotation
Angled rubber feet for maximum contact with the ground
Tripod features reversible 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 screw to fit almost any head

Great Size for small Mirrorless System Kits: Fuji X-T Series

By William

This is a very nice size backpack with excellent internal configurability options for a smaller body mirrorless camera system such as the Fujifilm X-T3/4/5 series cameras with the vertical grip attached + 4-6 XF lenses...or a Sony A7-series system with 3-4 lenses. It seems to be constructed with very durable yet lightweight ''cordura type materials comparable to the larger pro-level Tamrac & Tenba backpacks/bags I've used in the past. It is quite lightweight overall as well and the zippers are all good quality and operate smoothly. I really appreciate that nearly all of the internal compartments, pockets, and pouches have a very light gray lining that makes it much easier to see what is inside them especially in low-light environments. There are plenty of open-end and zippered storage pockets/pouches to hold a few filters and all of the various bits & pieces and accessories that we all need to carry. There are also plenty of individual, soft hook-&-loop adjustable dividers included with the bag to configure the cubbies in the main compartment. The only caveat is that the two long dividers that run top to bottom down each side of the center of the main compartment where you would place your long zoom lens attached to a body only have a narrow, fixed-placement strip of hook-&-loop in the bottom of the compartment, so you can't place those two long dividers so that they are wider or narrower, or just anywhere you want to in the main compartment. It still works and adapts to most common configurations, though. I'm currently using this bag for a Canon EOS R5 body with Vertical Grip. In the center of the main compartment, it fits my R5 body with Grip with the Canon RF-to-EF Ring Control lens adapter + EF 2x III Teleconverter + EF 70-200mm f/2.8 L IS II lens all mounted to the R5 body. This combination fits the compartment better when the body is placed upside-down with the tripod foot of the 70-200mm zoom facing up. The lens sits more flush to the bottom of the bag leaving more room above if needed. Down the length of the center of the main compartment will also fit the R5 Body mounted with the Canon RF/EF adapter + a Tamron SP 150-600mm f/5-6.3 Di VC USD G2 EF-mount lens...but with the lens hood detached and stored in another ''cubby'' in the main compartment. This isn't a big deal because I can fit my EF 35mm f/1.4 lens inside of the larger Tamron's lens hood inside a soft pouch. Note that the DEPTH of the main compartment is only 5-5/8 and BARELY fits the height of the R5 body with the Vertical Grip attached. Just 1/4 to 3/8 more depth would be nice, but it fits snugly as it is, which is also good. Due to the depth, it also will not fit your longer lenses in an upright position and they will have to be laid on their side which takes up much more internal space. Even so, it fits all of the following items (all lenses with hoods): - R5 body attached to the EF 70-200mm f/2.8 + EF/RF adapter + 2x TC. (OR, the EF/RF adapter with the Tamron 150-600mm lens). - EF 35mm f/1.4L - EF 50mm f1.2L - EF 24-70mm f2.8L - EF 16-35mm f2.8L - x2 Canon LC-E6 battery chargers. - x6 Canon LP-E6NH batteries. - x2 SanDisk 4TB Extreme Portable USB-C SSD V2 drives. - 13 MacBook Pro in the side zip laptop compartment. - Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+ with Keyboard Cover (pouch in larger front zippered compartment/flap). - Lens & Sensor cleaning kit. - Small 150w cigarette lighter 12vdc-to-120vac power inverter. - x1 Edison 120vac 1-to-3 outlet Cube Tap. - Profoto TTL-C Air Remote + 4 extra 'AA' batteries. - 3-4 UV/Circ.Polarizer Filters. - Plenty of CFexpress Type-B and SDXC Memory Cards. - USB & Charging cables & Various Accessories. On your back it does feel a bit strange because it is more of a boxy Cube than a thinner, long, rectangular backpack. My one BIG GRIPE with this bag is that the waist belt is WAY TOO BIG & BULKY for this size of bag, and creates A LOT of unnecessary bulk to the point where it becomes awkward and a hinderance. There is a ''tuck-able'' storage pocket for the waist belt at the bottom of the bag where the rain cover is also stored, but even with A LOT of effort I could only fit ONE SIDE of the waist belt into this storage pocket! And even just having this one side of the waist belt in its stored position created a very large bump-out at the bottom of the backpack where it rests against your back. The very thick-padded waist belt is thicker and bulkier than even the largest full-size photo backpacks I've used, and this backpack is tiny in comparison. It's actually very odd and is way out of proportion. I've even considered simply cutting the waistbelt off the backpack altogether. But for now, the only solution is to wrap and connect the waistbelt around the front or outer part of the bag. But this hinders the functionality or ease-of-use of both of the side pockets/tripod caddy areas, as well as needing to be unclipped to fully open the main front zippered flap to access the main compartment. :/ I even think that the padding for the main shoulder straps is too thick and bulky for this size of backpack considering the load it will carry. And just for reference, the zippered side-access laptop storage pocket is about 1 to 1-1/4 to short to fit either my Dell XPS 15 or 15 MBP, so you are limited to a 13 laptop, or potentially some 14 models. There is another thin and large unpadded slip-pouch in the larger front flap interior at the back that will fit a 12.9 iPad Pro or my Galaxy Tab S7+ tablet. And there is another smaller zippered pouch on the upper exterior of the main front flap that will fit the wall plug charger for the 13 MBP, iPad Pro, and some 13 laptop chargers. The other challenge is attaching a decent size tripod to this backpack. It is so short that the lower side pouches for the tripod legs and the upper securing strap are so close together that all but the smallest/shortest folded tripods will not be very secure and will extend well above the top of the backpack and be very top-heavy. I might try using some extra quick-clip straps to attach the tripod to the underside of the backpack horizontally, but the tripod might protrude out too far to each side to make this feasible. We'll see. Again, I really love the SIZE & WEIGHT of this backpack and its multitude of storage pockets & pouches. It's just the waistbelt and shoulder straps that make it unnecessarily bulky. The cube-like proportions of the bag also make it a slightly odd fit ergonomically, and the larger Tamrac backpack this replaced actually fit me and was actually more comfortable, though it is larger & bulkier than I'd like to use on a daily basis. I hope this information is useful in your decision. It's actually quite difficult to find the ''perfect'' bag or backpack for your needs. This one hits the mark in a lot of areas but also oddly misses the mark in some key areas as well. Time will tell if this one works out for me long-term, but it is a quality made backpack for the money (80 usd). Cheers

Well made and comfortable

This is a well made backpack. Unlike many I've had in the past, the zippers are sturdy and smooth to operate. The straps are well padded and quite comfortable even with a fair amount of equipment inside. It holds my Canon 1Ds Mark III, 4 lenses, full size flash and miscellaneous items with no problem. I just wish it were about 1 inch deeper as the camera presses against the front more than I like, which lessens the protection a bit.

The waist belt is not removable but it is hide-away. So you can tuck the strap into the back if you do not wish to use it.

question

Hi, the description states that the bag can house a DSLR, 70-200mm, 3 Lenses, Flash but the 2 pictures showing the inside seem to show that the bag is able to accommodate a DSLR with 70-200mm attached, 4 or 5 additional lenses and a flash. Can you please confirm, is the description not accurate or the pictures are misleading? Thank you,Tony
