Designed to deliver professional-quality audio, the 12" QSC K12.2 is a highly flexible, easy to use, 2000W powered portable PA speaker for today's working musicians, singer/songwriters, mobile DJs, and other sound providers. The speaker works in a variety of orientations and configurations for use as a main PA or stage monitor. When used as a main speaker, a pair of K12.2s is well equipped to cover an audience of 300+.

Two inputs (A and B) feature combo XLR-1/4" connectors with input A offering a Mic/Line selection and input B offering Mic/Hi-Z selection, which is designed for connecting high-impedance signals such as guitars and other instruments. Additionally, channel 3 provides a 3.5mm TRS auxiliary input for connecting portable audio devices. With independent mic and line inputs, the K12.2 is a great choice for any singer/songwriter or solo performer with an instrument. You have independent control over mic and instrument levels, while the aux input provides backing tracks or incidental music between sets.

The highly efficient 2000W Class-D amplifier powers the 12" woofer and 1.4" titanium compression driver, which provide full-range audio (50 Hz to 20 kHz) with a sound pressure level powerful enough to ensure the entire audience can hear your performance. QSC's Directivity Matched Transition (DMT) matches the coverage angle of the woofer at the crossover frequency with the horn pattern to ensure a uniform response across the coverage area (75° axisymetric). The Intrinsic Correction techniques ensure a smooth power response resulting in accurate performance in a wide range of acoustic spaces with little or no EQ. The K12.2 includes a power cord.

I bought two of these and use them both in my studio and travel for gigs. I use them for keyboard amplifiers, microphone, and backing tracks. They do not disappoint. These are great speakers.

We run these speakers at events that could have 20 people or several hundred. You have all the volume you need for any size of event.

Purchased first in may then a second unit in 08/22. The second one works of and on, reset many time to get it to work now northing. Tried calling QSC support and tried to work with their suggestions (even updated) both units had current and most recent updates. QSC will repair under warranty but because of the delay in parts production (yes China) parts are hard to get and have faulty components(which complicates thing even more) . You want to get this retailer to help ? GOOD LUCK ! all you will get is a condescending email from some dropout behind a desk .For now I will fix these expensive(somewhat) boat anchors and attempt to dump them on some other fish . I don't have much confidence with a retailer unwilling to take the punch from a manufacturer and allow the customer to have a bad experience. So much for service after the sale.

The best investment of all others

Being a sound engineer with more than 25 years of experience my purchase of the QSC K12.2 was the best investment of my life and I only bought only one because it was the last one in stock at BHP and I had to buy 5 more elsewhere to have three of the same pair. And thank goodness both speakers carry 14-digit serials from the latest revised and more recent versions with the more improved amp free from the many problems that plagued earlier versions. And lastly aftter two weeks of super heavy twst, all of my QSC K12.2's sound ten times as much better, with perfect flat sound response worthy of the most premium profesional studio monitor, much more balanced, much more refined than my brand new and twice as expensive newly purchased RFC-945A's even though they sound also fine and a bit more louder but with a much more colored sound and nothing to do with the delicacy and super more refined sound of my QSC K12.2's. In my personal opinion, after trying various subwoofer configurations from QSC, RFC and others, but the best experience I had was pairing my QSC K12.2 with 3 stacked pairs of Bose Sub 2's in a massive outdoor event with more than 1,500 peoples.

Preface: I have been a huge JBL fan for years and have used several of their EON series speakers. CONS: In comparison to the JBL EON612's...these speakers lack an additional handle on the right side of the speaker. This makes a huge difference when lifting them on to a tripod. Additionally, there is not set screw after mounting to a tripod, and the speakers can drift from left to right in a windy outdoor situation. These speakers are also slightly heavier than the JBL's. The sound is fuller and crisper, some of the highs sound a little harsh that could be corrected with EQ. The ABS plastic design makes me believe that these speakers will get scratched very easily, especially when used outside and being laid down on hard, paved surfaces. MIC input was lacking headroom. I first used this speaker with a mic running directly in to the speaker. I set it from LINE to MIC and had the volume cranked. Outside, the input was still not enough. I wouldn't recommend doing this and would certainly incorporate a mixer next time to add some gain. PROS: Much more power! These speakers have a great amount of power and I have yet been able to crank them up. The design seems decent and I'm glad they can be used as a PA speaker or a floor monitor. DSP - After getting the hang of it, I was easily able to navigate the DSP settings and adjust the presets to my liking. I love being able to set these up as a stage monitor with very little EQ adjustment. The two channel XLR inputs and 1/8 input makes the speaker versatile. The option of having a thru output or combined channel output is nice as well. I also like that fact that when pole mounted, you have two options with the option of angling the speaker down. You don't get this with JBL. I also like the locking IEC power cable. I always get nervous of some speakers where the IEC can be easily unplugged. I also purchased these with bags. The bags are comparable to that of a JBL bag, they have decent zippers and a side pocket. Good for preventing normal wear and tear.

Do any of the K8.2, K10.2 or even the K12.2 have phantom power going to any of the inputs?
Asked by: Stephen
No. The MIC input does not provide phantom power. I use a small mixer in combination with the speakers when using a condenser microphone.

The best solution will be to connect your device to one speaker, then use the XLR Thru-Output to connect the first speaker to the second.

Which cable is needed to connect to iPad

Which cable is needed to connect to iPad
Asked by: Carlos
The QSC K12.2 Two-Way 12" 2000W Powered Portable PA Speaker with Integrated Speaker Processor could receive a hardwired signal from an iPad via its 3.5mm auxiliary input connection. To achieve this, a standard 3.5mm TRS to TRS cable would be required, such as the Pearstone Stereo Mini Male to Stereo Mini Male Cable (Black, 10')(BH #PEMMSA110B). The auxiliary cable would then need to be adapted to Lightning or USB Type-C with one of the 3.5mm adapters offered by Apple (or similar), depending on the connection on the iPad.

It comes with the bag so all you would need, is the cable to connect it from your audio source, if a subwoofer is being used a cable to connect to it and a pole to place it above the woofer. If there's no woofer a stand for the speaker is recommended.
