The VR Compatible Stand Kit was put together by B&H to offer virtual reality enthusiasts with a means of supporting two base stations/cameras, so that VR can be enjoyed in the play area. The kit consists of two four-section Impact 8' Air-Cushioned Light Stands with 5/8" studs and 1/4"-20 male threads. An Oben Mini Ball Head is included to mount on the stand.
This aluminum Impact Air-Cushioned Light Stand rises to a height of 8' and folds down to 29.6". The stand has sure-twist section locks and 4 sections and will support up to 8 lb.
If you forget to tighten any section with your light mounted, the light slowly descends, thanks to the air-cushioned action. This useful feature saves equipment and fingers from harm during busy photo sessions.
The Oben BD-0 Mini Ball Head is the perfect topper for a miniature or table-top tripod model. Constructed of aluminum, the BD-0 functions like most full-sized ball heads but features a supremely low-profile design. A single-action lever loosens the ball and allows it to move freely in all directions, and in addition, a groove allows it to tilt 90° in one direction.
The BD-0 head can serve as a replacement head for an Oben TT-100, TT-200, or TT-300 table-top tripod. Or it can allow you to properly orient your camera on any other tripod model, whether it has a 1/4"-20 or a 3/8"-16 stud – the head has a 3/8" thread and comes with a reducer bushing to make it compatible with the 1/4"-type stud.
