Is there an EU power cord version available? One for use in Germany?
Asked by: Ryan
It supports both US and European voltages so all you would need is a standard US to German plug adapter not a voltage convertor. Also, the end which goes into the speaker is the standard computer power cable format so a cable should be easy to find.

Do I need anything else to connect to my Mac Studio? Cables etc
Asked by: Dan
Aside from the items included in this JBL 305P MkII Studio Monitor Kit, the only other item you will need is a short standard stereo aux cable such as the Pearstone Stereo Mini Male to Stereo Mini Male Cable - Black, 3' (B&H # PEMMSA103B) which will be used to connect the computer's 3.5mm audio output (headphone jack) to the 3.5mm TRS input on the Senal PMC-II Passive Monitor Controller. If you are using a USB audio interface and want to connect the PMC-II and JBL speakers to the interface, you can use the audio output(s) from the interface and connect them to the right/left XLR-1/4" combo jack inputs OR to the 3.5mm input on the PMC-II Monitor Controller using the appropriate cables (not included).

Can the amplifier be bypassed to use as passive speakers?
Asked by: Anonymous
This is an active speaker, with the amplifiers built in, so it would not be used as a passive speaker. JBL LSR708i 8" Master Reference Monitor (Single), BH #JBLSR708I would be a very god quality passive reference monitor to consider.

Can you add a subwoofer?

Can you add a subwoofer?
Asked by: Steven
Yes, a subwoofer such as the JBL LSR310S 200W Powered 10" Subwoofer(BH #JBLSR310S) is a great pairing for the JBL 308P MkII Powered 8" Two-Way Studio Monitors. You would feed the subwoofer from your main output signal, then feed the monitors from the subwoofer outputs. Link to LSR310S here: https://bhpho.to/3DCLlTY

None of my audio output devices have balanced connections - yet the back of the 305P's only have balanced inputs. If I use, let's say an audio cable that has a TRS connector on end (going to the speakers), and an RCA cable on the other end (going to my audio sources), will this work with the 305's?
Asked by: Bernd
It will work. For instance, I use them with my phone headset jack as the source. It may pick up more noise, but that may be an issue only with very long cables and in a professional situation. I never noticed any noise with my setup.
