Is this made from material translucent enough that we could use our own lights from the outside instead of the included LEDs?
The ORANGEMONKIE Foldio3 25" Mini Studio and Halo Bar (B&H# ORFOLDIO3HBK) may be used with its included light, the ORANGEMONKIE Halo-bar for Foldio3 (B&H# ORHALOBAR), attached internally to the Foldio3 Mini Studio's magnetic attachment points for it. Alternatively, yes, it may be used with a strong source (such as a bright and bare light bulb next to this product or direct sunshine hitting it through a window) to modify such incident light for the purpose of diffusing and softening it. However, such diffusion will be extreme (thus producing especially soft light) as only a small percentage of it will get through to the subject to illuminate it. Of course, depending on your artistic intentions, that may be just what you want.
