Good package with a disappointing app and annoying lights

Overall, I really like the turntable and enclosure. The side lights can be a major pain, though. They don't stand up well on their own, and if you lay them on their side, the light isn't at an angle that will reach the subject, it'll just light up the side of the turntable. I had to 3D print little bases for them to manage it.
The app is functional, but kind of a bummer. The basic features are all there, but you can't save more than one photo at a time to your phone gallery, which is very annoying and time-consuming. It's the same with the videos, it'll try to zip a data package and save that.
Also, you have to pay for the background removal feature, which I did. It also only works with the white background, but that at least makes some sense. What doesn't make sense is it only works in photo mode, and not in video mode, and that info isn't given to you until you pay for it. Without that feature working for video, it's not worth paying for it at all, in my opinion.
Otherwise, it's good.

The Mini Studio is easy to set up, lighting and a turntable. It has allowed me to focus on composition and exposure. Good product.

The studio is easy and quick to assemble and breaks down just as easily to store briefcase style. I was even able to nest the boxed lights and cords in the folds so that all components can be stored as a unit. The light dimmer is basic and works smoothly, and the lights at full strength are impressively bright. Turntable app is straightforward and works well to shoot stills from multiple perspectives or to shoot rotating video. Very pleased overall.

I bought this light box because, after much research and stellar assistance from B&H Chat, I had bought one for work and loved it. Then, when I decided to open my own Shopify store and needed my own light box, this purchase was a no-brained. I am photographing different items than at work, but all of the light-positioning options the box offers, along with the dimmer switches make this an excellent choice. I did get the turntable this time and had no trouble connecting to the app and getting 360 images with my smart phone, I have, however, had a lot of problems - as yet unresolved - getting the image uploaded to my Shopify product page. The instructions on Spinzam consist of a list which is not specific enough and a video using options from a Shopify product page that does not resemble my own. What the video demonstrates is not the same as what the list says to do, and neither works fit me. I have been corresponding with spinzam support and they have been responsive but seem unable to grasp inadequacies of their directions. But other than that, I am delighted with my purchase!

The photo booth is really good. The app is fairly good also, I would like to see an actual 360 image that I can place on my website rather than just an imbed from Spinzam

I am a photographic equipment historian. I take many photos of camera equipment. 90% of my subjects are black with a number of reflective surfaces. Photographing these items against a white background results in a very high contrast image. I've been using light tents, light tables and various backdrops. I've used strobes, flood lights, CFL fluorescent and daylight. This device is much better than the aforementioned systems. I bought the complete kit with Halo bars and turntable. it's easy to set up and the LED lighting is very nice. The halo lamps are great for selective lighting. The only complaints I have are that the 25 inch Foldio 3 is very large. The top lights are far away from the base, especially when shooting smaller items. The Halo lights are difficult to stand on end, the cord plugs in the top making them top heavy. Using the turntable raises the item off the base and when the Halos are used horizontally they are too low. The Halos do mount magnetically on the sides but again with the Foldio 3 they are high. Speaking of the Turntable, the rear light is useless it throws light on the background much to low to do anything noticeable. The app is free but limited, there is a pro app for a fee that does more, but that's not mentioned in the advertising. I have not tried the 360 degree app yet, but it does require an upload for processing I do not know if that comes with a fee. For my specific use I think the Foldio 2+ will work better. All in all its worth the money and works well and is much easier to set up and transport compared to the other systems I mentioned earlier. One more thing, the electric cords are a nice length and the Halo lamp cords are also a nice length. The turntable cord is to short you'llneed an extension cird for sure. I'm sure the Foldio 3 will be fine for larger items but smaller items such as a 35mm camera are just to small for even lighting.
If you plan on using a DSLR you'll still need a phone or tablet to control the Turntable.
I'm using a Nikon DSLR 750, 60mm Macro and a good quality Polarizer to cut some of the reflections. It is a good product and I am buying the Foldio 2+.

I purchased this because I have to take several photos of my jewelry as well as other artistic items such as pottery. This mini studio and smart turntable have made my life easier in that I can assemble it and dissemble it. It's like an origami photo studio that can be taken anywhere. Before I used to use a DIY set up for photos, but it was so frustrating because I always had to set up all the lighting every time, and then it would take me quite a bit of time to put everything away. With this new Foldio3 set up, I notice that I don't procrastinate anymore to take photos and get things moving along faster. It was worth the investment for my small and growing business.
